Right now there is a hell on earth and the doctors in Ethiopia ask, "Where is humanity?" 

Why does the world look away when such unimaginable horror exists? 

We are blinded by mainstream media for sure. You won't find any reports on Ethiopia, Yemen, Somalia or Palestine on the news. Why? 

If you want to do something about it, the first step is to find the best sources of information: real news by real, independent journalists. This is a hard road to go down because you will discover the horrors that are going on in the world and that isn't easy to take. 

This is our choice right now. Do we seek the truth or look away because it is too much to bear? I don't blame you if you choose to look away. Most of us do. We have enough on our plates - but the trouble is, looking away allows all the bad things to happen. War and famine are not acts of nature or acts of god. They are acts of humanity and the lives of millions of ordinary, peaceful families are destroyed. Corruption and hate only happen in the dark and the dark only happens because we don't turn on the light. 

So they ask where is humanity and we say, "sorry, we aren't watching because it's too horrific to look."

I don't think this is enough anymore. We need to look. 

Ethiopia needs us to have the strength to look once again and they need us to find the courage to act, just like the world reacted in 1984 when the famine was reported by Michael Buerk and shown on the BBC. 

So where is humanity now?

I hope it is in what we choose to see and what we choose to do with that knowledge.
