Empowerment

Parity in being

The BHA advise that a recent Judge's ruling re-categorises school assemblies as non-religious, in order that it represents all faiths/beliefs/none !

Reflections on Life.

The uniqueness of this booklet is manifest in the collaboration between grassroots Faith and Belief communities and frontline Spiritual Care Specialists of the NHS. Thirteen Faith and Belief communities are represented – Baha’i Faith, Believers-not-Belongers  (those who believe in a supernatural force or God, but who do not belong to a particular faith), Brahma Kumaris, Buddhism, Christianity, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hinduism, Humanism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Paganism, and Sikh Dharam. Healthcare Chaplaincy is represented by Chaplains from NHS Forth Valley, Highland, Lanarkshire, Lothian, and Western Isles.

The book is for the use of Healthcare Chaplains, Belief representatives, patients, their relatives and friends, and particularly all the many different people who work within the NHS.

Based upon the experience of the Healthcare Chaplains, this book has 16 chapters which are themed according to the most common needs & issues that arise in the provision of spiritual care.
