Mindfulness along with awareness and the ability to think is what distinguishes us as human.

It has been practised by indigenous people from the earliest  civilisations.  It has been the spiritual practice of all the world religions, including Buddhism, Christianity and Hinduism.

It is now recognised by the Royal College of Psychiatry as  significant in the treatment of depression (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy) as well as the science.
