JULIAN ASSANGE IS FREE!

Waking up to the news that Julian Assange was released on bail and was making his way to a remote Pacific island prior to a closing deal with lawyers to bring about his full release was a shock to the system - a system that has suffered, like millions of people around the world, anger, frustration and disappointment for over 14 years at the persecution and incarceration of a 21st Century hero for truth and justice.

Julian's supporters have been thanked by Stella Assange for helping to make the release of her husband come true.

Stella on X:
Words cannot express our immense gratitude to YOU - yes YOU, who have all mobilised for years and years to make this come true.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

Public pressure played a vital role. Award-winning journalist Chris Hedges describes how important the world-wide campaign to free Julian was in the link below. It is worth the 5-minute read because it is a critical summary of what happened to Julian Assange.

At the epicentre of the campaign, Julian's family, along with their incredible lawyers and close allies, have been truly remarkable in keeping the campaign going. In the face of an imperious and brutal legal system in the UK and the US, they have shown so much courage, determination, passion and dignity. In the fight against our tyrannical war-makers and law-breakers, this is a great day - but ultimately, this is a remarkable day, a miraculous day, for Julian's family.

There has only ever been one message in Julian Assange's story: THE FIGHT FOR TRUTH AND JUSTICE.
Speaking the truth is why Assange was locked up for so many years. An incredible truth-teller is finally free but the battle for global truth and justice goes on. With the boot of a gangster-style legal system now lifted off one man's neck, we must carry on with the campaign for truth and justice for all. Justice for Julian; justice for every political prisoner, from Israel to Guantanamo; justice for every subjugated group; for the war-torn, the marginalised, the slaves and the refugees.

For more on this story, please click on the link below. Caitlin Johnstone explains what justice would look like for Julian and his family. It is hard to see Caitlin's demands for justice happening but at least a father will soon be reunited with his children and hopefully he will be able to recover from his horrendous ordeal. A political prisoner of the so-called free world is free. We wish Julian a full recovery and wish him and his family the peace and happiness they deserve.
