Wonderful news!

2022 was a busier year than ever before. Our Celebrants helped more and more families and wedding couples and we continued to make a difference as active humans in our everyday lives. We show we care and if we can get involved in something that helps our communities, we will, so please get in touch and we will try to help. At the very least, we can share all the great things you are doing on our website and our social media platforms.

Despite it being such a hectic year, our team has continued to provide our high standard of care and two of our team have been recognised in this year's Celebrants' awards.

Firstly, we congratulate Natalie, who was nominated for best celebrant of the year at the Scottish Funeral awards. Her nomination is a recognition of the selfless work she does for families who are going through the trauma of bereavement. What a difference Natalie makes in people's lives. The care and compassion she shows are remarkable and her nomination is so deserved. We are so proud of everything Natalie does. Her nomination comes from the people whose lives she has touched, so it means the world to her.

Our second piece of wonderful news comes from Duncan. At the Scottish Wedding awards in Glasgow on 28th February 2023, Duncan won a HIGHLY COMMENDED award for his wonderful work over the past twelve months. We congratulate you, Duncan, and in truth, there is no 'gong' big enough to show how amazing and selfless you are!

Duncan's award is recognition of the tireless energy, commitment and care he gives to couples on their wedding day. Not only does he provide couples with a wonderful ceremony but he also takes time to get to know each couple and help them create a truly personal ceremony. Duncan, we are so proud of you. You are a shining light in all our lives!

Natalie and Duncan share such wonderful qualities as people and as Humanist Celebrants, they take those qualities everywhere they go. They give such care and affection to so many people during the most important moments in their lives. They are selfless, caring, generous and kind and Humanism in Scotland is blessed to have them in our team. Natalie and Duncan are this year's superstars!

Thank you for everything you do!

Love from Dougie, Elizabeth, Linda, Sarah, Stephen and Susan.
